Questions from this week…. Q: If God is always there and cares so much about us, then why do I feel like sometimes no one is there and no one cares? A: One of the first references to God’s unfailing presence was spoken by Moses in Deuteronomy 31:6-8, when he instructed Aaron about leading God’s people into the “Promise land.” And Joshua himself heard the same word from the Lord, “As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you” (Josh. 1:5).
That promise is repeated in the New Testament: “He Himself has said, ‘I will never leave you nor forsake you’” (13:5).
Wherever you may be today, you are not alone. If you’ve placed your trust in Jesus for your salvation, you can be certain that He will never leave you.
There are times we feel alone, but if we stand on the Truth, the word of God, we know that, “I am alone, and no one cares” is a Lie.
Q: The bible talks about getting fed, and growing spiritually Right? Well what if we feel we are being fed by not Growing?
A: Yes the bible does speak of us getting Fed; Jesus refers to himself as the Living water, and as the Bread of Life. – John 6 “Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.” This is being a follower of Christ, Accepting his death as your payment for sin, and then living a life of submission to his leading.
But the “fed” you are speaking of is the one in which we must be the first to take action on. This is where we are taking time to get what we need to live as Christ followers. So maybe the question is, “what is hindering me from growing?… Am I reading the Word, and I spending time in Prayer, Are the People around me influencing me away from Growing?”
You see Jesus Himself tells us that “’Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God”
Conclusion, both of these questions we are following the Leading of our feelings, or maybe you have heard it said like this…” just follow your heart”?
The Bible teaches us our Heart is decitful, and can not be trusted. The only thing we can use to gage our lifes is the word of God, if the bible says you are not alone, then this is 100% true, and if the bible says feed on the word of God, and it will sustain you spiritually, then again this is 100% true… The Bible is our truth….
